In this video, we cover the built-in applications of the Google Nexus One. We go over the basic applications like Contacts and Calendar, but also dive a bit into the 3D photo gallery, the voice recognition capabilities, and more.
As mentioned in the video, there seems to be no quick way to dial a contact using the number pad (as you can do in Windows Mobile), but there are some alternatives. For example, you can place shortcuts to people you dial often on one of the homescreens. Also, you can fill up your Favorites screen within the Contacts application. Finally, you can use the device’s search button to call up a keyboard that allows you to quickly find someone in your list.
